Fixing a Hydraulic System Issue
Step 1: Check for Leaks Inspect the hydraulic system for leaks. If the oil reservoir or any of the hydraulic lines are leaking, you’ll need to replace the damaged part (e.g., seals or hose).
Step 2: Bleed the System Air in the hydraulic system can cause lifting issues. To bleed the air out, raise the pallet truck’s forks, open the release valve, and allow the truck to lower completely. Pump the handle a few times to get the air out of the system.
Step 3: Top Off Hydraulic Fluid If the oil level is low, refill it with the appropriate hydraulic fluid. Make sure to use the correct type to avoid damaging the system.
After all repairs, conduct a full inspection to make sure the pallet truck is functioning properly.
Test the lifting mechanism, the maneuverability of the wheels, and ensure the hydraulic system is functioning without leaks.
Make sure the truck is stable and all parts are securely attached before putting it back into use
